A bit about me
I am originally from New York and now happily live in charming Lake Bluff, Il. I have a wonderful, supportive husband who is my best friend, and am a happy and proud mom of two amazing boys. I love being active, enjoy playing tennis, spending time with friends, taking family vacations and hanging out with my puppy.

Why work with me?
I believe in working together, side by side, in a judgment free space. I also believe in bio individuality. We all know our own bodies the best. What works for me won't necessarily work for you, but as we work together, we can find the perfect life-style fit for YOU and unfold what has been holding you back from reaching your health goals.

Most clients I have worked with have lost weight and kept it off including myself. It took me many years of yo-yo dieting, calorie restriction and trying out every fad diet to understand what works for me. I was always trying to lose that infamous extra "5" pounds and in the process, I ended up losing 10 and have successfully kept the weight off.
​
I believe we are what we eat. My health goals have shifted through the years, from just weight loss, to being healthy and having longevity. I want to have a beautiful, long life and I believe we are in the driver seats of our health and how we age. I eat for nutrition and to fill my body with the best vitamins, minerals, proteins, fats and carbs ( YES! I said CARBS!) it needs to work its best. I am also very focused on movement, a great night's sleep and life balance.

Am I perfect? No. Do I always stick to my plan? No. But I do try to live my life in balance and live my definition of healthy 80% of the time.

Why work with a health coach vs. a nutritionist or dietitian?
Nutritionists and dietitians will give you are diet to follow. Through my coaching, together, we will not only create a diet that works for you, but have plan you will be able to sustain on your own. Healthy habits stick. Diets don't.

Its not only about what we eat
I like to also explore other parts of you (such as relationships, stress, exercise, lifestyle) to help to create a personalized plan that works for you.
It takes time
I don't believe in quick fixes. Real habit change takes time, and I will be there to help you through all the ups and downs. I will give you tools to help you stick to your plan, will help you celebrate your successes and overcome roadblocks and obstacles. It's really easy once we unlock the small steps you need to focus on. There is no need to be overwhelmed. "Daily progress, not perfection" is my mantra.

My Training
I am trained in coaching methods and habit change techniques to
help you meet your goals through small steps and new habits that work for you. I have studied over 100 dietary theories including Keto, Paleo, Plant based, Whole 30, and macrobiotics to name a few. I believe we are all different and don't all thrive on the same diet. Calorie counting, and deprivation have been shown to fail time after time.
